What Is Endoscopy?
Endoscopy is a surgical method where minimal cuts are performed - mere millimetres - and the surgical instruments and a camera are inserted threw them, without opening the area of the injury. The surgeon is performing the entire surgery when looking at a screen and controlling with his hands the tiny surgical instruments. This technique ensures precision and complete control for the surgeon and a much higher success rate than is the norm in ‘ordinary’ surgeries.
Also, there is less post-surgery pain, very few infections and complications, and a swift recovery time - the patient is released home less than 24 hours after the operation. The return to sporting activity is quick.
The significant advantages of the endoscopic method can only be achieved in one condition - when the operation is carried out by an endoscopy expert in his field, and are improved as the skill of the surgeon is vast and proven.
The Center for Ednospopic Excellence in Sport Injury holds three international experts, each in his own field, in order to provide a complete and skilled to common sports injuries.
